On siblings. And mistakes.

June’s Events

Two Front Parlor Evenings:

Tuesday, June 12 @ The Ale House (Troy)
Hosted by Abby Lublin
7:30 – 9:30 pm
680 River Street
Theme: “Brothers and Sisters”

Siblings.  If you have 1+, it’s probably tough to think of a single story.  If you don’t, you likely have brothers from other mothers, or sisters from other misters. Regardless, you have stories to tell.  This topic has sparked instant cringing and “ooohh…” around town.  Let us in on why.

Monday, June 18 @ The Olde English Pub (Albany)
Hosted by Tim Dawkins
7:30 – 9:30 pm
25 Quackenbush Square
Theme: “Oops”

Pop songs can ruin expressions and exclamations.  (Think “It’s gettin’ hot in here…”   Imagine saying that as a middle school teacher when Nelly’s song (and I use “song” lightly there) saturated airwaves.) On Monday, June 18, let’s reclaim “Oops.”  Unless you have a great story involving Ms. Spears.

If you’d like to throw your name in the can to tell a story, and you know you’ll be a lil’ late, post a comment here.  See you ’round the mic. And as always…

Listening is an act of love.

I wanted you all to know that I was invited to The Moth Main Stage. I owe this invitation in part to the comfortable sessions that I took part in at Front Parlor….which gave me the confidence to take it to the next level.
