September’s Events
Front Parlor Evening:
Tuesday, September 11 @ The Ale House (Troy)
Hosted by Abby Lublin
7:30 – 9:30 pm
680 River Street
Theme: “Borders”
A time you crossed a line, or if you prefer, a politician’s favorite non-apology: “lines were crossed.” Back-to-school horror story involving bulletin boards? Passport-confiscated adventure? A harrowing story of migration?
Come tell a tale of boundaries, real and imagined, at the Ale House this Tuesday.
* We’re passing the can to help Troy Central Little League raise money for a Fall season.
@ The Olde English Pub (Albany)
** No Front Parlor this month at OEP. Yes to October.
Share widely.
If you’d like to throw your name in the can to tell a story, and you know you’ll be a lil’ late, post a comment here. See you ’round the mic. And as always…
Listening is an act of love.
OH, I’ll be there or i’ll be rhombus. A cautionary tale, explaining why symmetry is oppressive, perils of a long distance relationship and revenge from beyond the grave with a moderately happy ending…all in 5 minutes. Yup.
As promised, here is the info for the “Princess Bride” screening next week at Heidi’s family farm:
Princess Bride on the big screen at the farm!!!! Please come join us for a potluck and yard games at the farm at 5ish and then we will play the film after sunset. Come in character (we need an albino, a giant, a magician, a six-fingered man) or as you are. Wednesday, September 19. 634 Pleasant Valley Rd. Berne, NY 12019 Phone 518-872-1641 Bring friends, family, or folks off the street! See you there. : )
