June 2014 Events

Tuesday, June 10 @ The Ale House (Troy)
Hosted by Abby Lublin
7:30 – 9:30 pm
680 River Street
Theme: “Sleep”

Sleep: Universally shared and oft-overlooked, until it’s gone. (Says the new mom who could certainly use more.)  Maybe you’re not a chronic somnambulist, but it’s likely you have sleep-related stories to share.  An epic case of oversleeping?  Strangest place you caught some winks?  Insomniac adventures?  Awkward sleeping arrangement? Come share your sleepy tale this Tuesday.

* New rule: (ok, old rule, just enforced) 10 tellers.   10.  If you KNOW you want to tell a story (or even if you’re on the fence) and you will be late, please post a comment here to throw your name in the can.

Monday, June 16 The Olde English Pub (Albany)
Hosted by Gregor Wynnyczuk
7:30 – 9:30 pm
25 Quackenbush Square
Theme: “Fathers”

The 15th is Father’s Day, and I would have gone with “Dad” except the “Fathers” also opens the door to all those stories you may have about priests and the founding fathers. Bonus points for stories about your dad and the founding fathers. Extra bonus points if your father was also a priest.

Come tell a story about your dad, about being a dad, or anything dad related.

Share widely.

If you’d like to throw your name in the can to tell a story, and you know you’ll be a lil’ late, post a comment here.

See you ’round the mic. And as always…

Listening is an act of love.
