August Storytelling Events!

13 Aug

Troy

Tuesday, August 14 @ The Ale House (7:30 – 9:30 pm)
Hosted by Mike DeSocio

Theme: “Moving On”

They say one door must close in order for another one to open. But moving on can still be awfully bittersweet. Whether it’s leaving behind a lover, a pet, a house or phase of life, tell us a story about one chapter ending or another one beginning. We want to hear about transitions, conclusions, fresh starts and everything in between.

Albany

Monday, August 20 @ The Olde English Pub (7:30 – 9:30 pm)
Hosted by Gregor Wynnyczuk

Theme: “Drugs”

Drugs have impeccable timing. Arriving just after sex and right before rock and roll, drugs are at the center of nearly all human experience. From that daily hit of caffeine to the once and done LSD experiment, drugs allow us to change how we feel and how we perceive the world. And best of all, drugs create really memorable experiences, and that’s what we look for in a story.
