April Storytelling Events

25 Mar

March was really something special. Thanks to everyone who came out to our big show at The Linda and to our events in Troy and Albany.

We are excited about the new energy and new people coming out and telling stories! Here is what we have lined up for April…

Tuesday, April 9 @ The Ale House (7:30 – 9:30 pm)
Hosted by Mike DeSocio

Theme: “Losing It”

Have you ever just totally lost it? What was the last straw? What made your knees buckle? Tell us about a time when you just couldn’t bear it. Or maybe you lost your wallet or your phone (this, too, can be catastrophic). How did you go on without that precious item? Come out to the Ale House to share your stories of losing it, whatever “it” may be.

Monday, April 15 @ The Olde English Pub (7:30 – 9:30 pm)
Hosted by Mike DeSocio

Theme: “Make Believe”

In the spirit of April Fool’s Day, when was the last time you felt duped, tricked or swindled? Who made you believe something that ultimately wasn’t true? (Spoiler Alert: Santa isn’t real. Thanks for nothing, Mom and Dad). Or maybe it was your hopes and dreams that proved unrealistic. Tell us about a time when you believed in the impossible.

March is Amazing!

5 Mar

Don’t miss all the great opportunities to hear (and tell) stories this month!

Ticket are selling fast for the Eighth Anniversary show at The Linda on March 15th.

Hosted by Gregor Wynnyczuk, the show will feature Front Parlor favorites Carrie Will, Mike DeSocio, Jennifer O’Brien, Ashok Ramasubramanian, and Silvia Meder Lilly – as well as super special guest Jeff Simmermon.

Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 at the door.

Tuesday, March 12 @ The Ale House (7:30 – 9:30 pm)
Hosted by Abby Norton Levering

Theme: “Ready for Prime Time”

Most of us won’t ever be chosen for The Moth. Only a handful of us will tell at the Linda on March 15. But all of us have a story that’s ready for prime time, should we ever be surprised to find ourselves in the spotlight on the main stage. Come be brave and bold and share the story that’s in your back pocket, your biggest, best story. Come tell it even if you’ve told it before–your best story is worth telling again!

Monday, March 18 @ The Olde English Pub (7:30 – 9:30 pm)
Hosted by Gregor Wynnyczuk

Theme: “Getting Lucky”

Some of us are born lucky. Others have to work hard at it. Either way, it’s nice when things fall into place. So bring a story about a time when things went your way or at least a story about a time you got lucky 😉
