May Storytelling Events!

1 May

Front Parlor is a place to hear and tell stories. We generally have 8-12 storytellers, five or so minutes each, telling true stories. No notes. It’s just like The Moth radio hour, except it’s local storytellers in front of the most loving and supportive audiences anywhere.

This is what we have lined up for May…

Tuesday, May 14 @ The Ale House (7:30 – 9:30 pm)
Hosted by Hoël Wiesner

Theme: “Strange Encounters”

We’re always surrounded by strangers, each going about their life, experiencing joy, sadness, wonder, excitement that we will never be privy to. Sometimes, these strangers can appear in our world for a brief moment, and though we may never catch their name, they can leave lasting impressions on us. Come to the Ale House to share your story of encountering a stranger in front of a bar full of strangers.

Monday, May 20 @ The Olde English Pub (7:30 – 9:30 pm)
Hosted by Gregor Wynnyczuk

Theme: “Scars”

The longer you live the more scars you collect. And each scar is the mark of a story. Consider your scars (both physical and emotional) and the stories they represent. Could you share that story? Show that scar? Come tell us what that scar means to you.
